Alloys Identification

The test points test is an assay for the identification of metallic materials which consists of applying chemical etching on a region of the prepared surface.

The recognition of the material is based on the effects of chemical reactions, as well as the results of the test magnet (test that takes place in metallic materials by applying a magnet, sorting the material into magnetic, slightly magnetic and non-magnetic).

This test can be applied in various internal devices such as valves, pipes and others, since it is possible technique.

Non-destructive methods for classification and identification of alloys (magnetic, nonmagnetic and magnetic slightly) following standard N-Petrobrás 1591.

Main areas of activity:

  • Oil and gas, electromechanical, mechanical metal, foundries, steel, shipbuilding, petrochemical, pulp industry, mining, pipelines, among others
